In 2011, the municipal Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft (MAG) sold the Hyatt Regency Hotel Mainz to Azure Property Group. “We are happy to be the owner of the leading hotel in Mainz and feel more than apt in all economic, operational and property related matters to cooperate with Hyatt in further developing the performance of this stylish hotel.”, said the new owner, Bahram Sadr-Hashemi.

The five star hotel, located directly on the waterside promenade of the river Rhine, has 268 rooms and is the leading hotel in Mainz. An analysis of the ranking in TripAdvisor ( compiled by business travellers, placed the hotel as number seven amongst the ten most popular hotels in Germany.

Azure took over the existing operating agreement which was closed in 1996. The Hyatt brand is expected to be contractually guaranteed until 2022.

Feuring gave MAG detailed advice during the structured sales process and facilitated the sales contract with Azure. Azure Property, based in London and Luxemburg, specializes in hotel transactions and intends to further expand on the German market.
